I spent Saturday laughing, crying and having an incredibly good time! I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding of Ingrid and Nick.
I started the day out with the boys. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find Nick ready, waiting and a little nervous about the day ahead. Ingrid had given Nick clear instructions to be ready, have the cuff links out, along with everything else, and he did! We were off to a flying start. I had to laugh when not 2 minutes after arriving I realised I was at the house of a former school friend, Adelaide, you do my head in (waves Robyn)! LOL

Ingrid is about Purple how I am about Pink! I LOVE it when brides incorporate bold colours into their wedding day. Ingrid’s bouquet was created by The Scented Room. I haven’t seen
Singapore orchids used this way for a bouquet before, I thought they were fantastic!

It is such a magical moment when a bride steps into her wedding dress on her wedding day. It really is one of the highlights of the day. Ingrid has such a wonderful smile, and incredible eyes. When Ingrid smiles, her nose crinkles with happiness = LOVE!

Watching and observing peoples emotions is why I love photographing weddings so much.

Miss Phoebe was so excited to be a flower girl at Aunty Ingie’s wedding and she did such a superb job! She was devastated when it was time to go home and didn’t want the wedding to finish
this little poppet is a little hugging machine. She showered me with hugs all day, bless!
This little munchkin I bestow the title “Cheeky Princess”! She would be happily smiling away, looking right down the barrel of my lens and would then pull out a punk rocker – with -tude pose! I kid you not, she had me in stitches!

Even the strongest of men are usually overcome with emotion when they see their bride for the first time![]()

This was the first time I have photographed a wedding at Malvern Uniting Church. Benjie the minister who officiated their ceremony did a stellar job. Churches often impose heavy rules and restrictions on Photographers when photographing weddings which can be unfortunate as it means the couple miss out on having the most important part of their wedding day documented properly. Benjie allowed me to move around discretely and take some wonderful shots for Ingrid and Nick.

After the ceremony we headed over to Veale Gardens for some creative photography. The below image however, is completely un-posed! Sometimes the best images are those you don’t know are being taken!

My favourite image from the day….. swoon sun flare, I love thee!

How perfect that Ingrid loves purple, and the wisteria arch was covered in gorgeous purple blooms! Mother Nature, you rock!

This was the second wedding reception that I have photographed at Pavilion on the Park. I have to give a huge shout out to the staff, they really do a wonderful job, the food is served on time, the drinks are always flowing and the staff are smiling!!!!! They also make sure they look after the ad ons like me
I had a wonderful meal, generous serving it was just delicious!
