Emily and Mark – The Wedding and all those beautiful details

I’m a list maker, I’m detail oriented, probably somewhat obsessed with the little things and if we are friends on Facebook you will hear me complaining about function venues not ironing linen or having to the floor tablecloths…. It’s me, I can’t help it and I apologise in advance for it! LOL, however, it’s the details that make your wedding what it is. The small touches you go to, really do help create an overall feel to your wedding and really help set the scene for the event you are trying to create. I can’t help but think Miss Emily is somewhat the same as me. Let me tell you that this little chickadee did NOT leave one thing off her wedding list.

Emily  used a sophisticated and very traditional colour palette of White, Lilac and Silver. This colour theme was incorporated into every aspect of the wedding. Emily was able to achieve a beautiful elegant wedding with the help of Anne from Elegant Event Management. Anne and I discussed all the exciting details in great depth during the lead up to this particular wedding and a huge shout out must be given to Anne for her dedication and beautiful styling! Anne, you did a fab job and this wedding really epitomises how important it can be to have a stylist involved when trying to plan and achieve the perfect wedding.

This particular wedding was also the first time I had a second shooter work with me. Karen Pfeiffer, a dear friend of mine and someone who’s work I admire greatly came and worked with me on the day. I have to say, we two are a team and a half (or at least I think so… giggle)! Thank you so much Karen for all of your help.  Your attention to detail and being an all round wedding fairy and angel on the day will always amaze me as does your work!

So I could probably jibber all day about the lushness of this wedding but I won’t, I’ll just pop some pics up:)

Emily held a traditional white rose bouquet which was stunning. I really can’t speak highly enough about Sam and Sally from Fabulous Functions, there work is beautiful and timeless.

For any photographers out ther who may be reading my wee little blog. I shot the next 4 images at 1.4 using my 50mm. It’s the first time I have managed sparkly bokeh like this….. wheeeeeee! LOL

And just to prove my point about Emily being detail oriented, the below thank you card arrived on my doorstep just 4 days after Emily and Mark’s wedding.

It read

“Dear Emma, Thank You for providing such fabulous photography for our wedding on 11/12/2010. Your service has been exceptional from our first phone call to organising the lead up and of course on our special day. You are a gorgeous person and incredibly genuine, we are so grateful you could be part of our day. The wedding industry needs more passionate people like you! Thanks again, Emily and Mark” Emily, my cup runneth over!

Thank you for having me at your wedding, it was my honour!

Until next time
