I met Catherine and John in April of last year to go through their plans for their wedding day and discuss all things photography. What sticks in my mind from the first time I met these guys is that they were fun. They wanted to do something different for their wedding, they wanted it to be unique to them and these words are quite simply music to my ears! LOL
I remember John telling me that he had an interest in games (pinball if I remember correctly….) and he had this boyish charm to him and I remember thinking, this dude has “mischief” written all over his face. Now this being said, I had to believe that Catherine too must have a wicked sense of humour and I do believe I am correct. These guys are just plain lovely. They know how to laugh, they know how to love and it’s quite clear that they just adore one another. These guys are just meant to be.
Catherine and John had both their ceremony and reception at Al Ru Farm. Their ceremony was at dusk and their reception was held outdoors under the sky……… swooon and they opted to do a first look (where the bride and groom meet in private before the ceremony). Karen Pfeiffer a dear friend of mine, filled in for me again this particular weekend whilst our little boy recovered and she told me that this first look was that emotion filled that after taking the necessary images, it felt right to leave John and Catherine be completely alone and embrace all that was taking place at that time.
I think it’s only fitting, that I begin the blog post with, the said first look.

Congratulations again Catherine and John on your wedding day. It certainly looks as though you had an incredible time, I only wish I was there to witness it myself! On behalf of Karen, Jody and Myself, thank you for having “us” and we wish you nothing but happiness, love and a lifetime full of beautiful laughter and wonderful memories!
